Understanding the Judiciary Exam Pattern

Most state judiciary exams have three stages: Preliminary (objective MCQs), Mains (descriptive law papers), and Interview. Each stage requires a different preparation approach.

Prelims Strategy

Focus on previous year papers — most states repeat question patterns. Solve at least 5 years of past papers before your exam.

Books to Follow

Constitutional Law: DD Basu. IPC and CrPC: Ratanlal and Dhirajlal. CPC: CK Takwani. Evidence Act: Batuk Lal.

A judiciary aspirant who reads bare acts daily for one year will outperform someone who only reads commentaries for three years.
